Teen Camp Heredia: Day 4-7, July 13-16

Thursday was the hiking day! We went to Bosque Caricias, located in the mountains of Heredia. The students had a chance to walk through the beauty of the forest and see a beautiful view from the very top of the mountain, where we also had a delicious snack. They were also lucky it did not rain, so they saw the whole city of San Jose from far away!

Friday was the shopping and movie day, we went to the City Mall in Alajuela. We had lunch at the food court and later some time to go around the mall, and buy anything they needed or wanted. After some shopping was done, we saw the movie Spiderman with Spanish subtitles! It was definitely a calm day all of the guys enjoyed.

Saturday was by far their favorite day! We all woke up really early to go to the White Water Rafting! It was definitely their favorite experience. They seemed to have fun in every second of the adventure! Louis and Dakota were on the front of the raft and James and Evan on the middle. Their faces of excitement and adventure made me happy. The guide said they did an excellent job, and I am proud about that!

Sunday was the last day in Heredia. The students went to an Animal Rescue Center where they volunteered to plant trees and help build a cage. Even though it was a challenging day for some, they all did great jobs in helping not only the animal center, but the environment, since everything starts with a small change. After helping, we were provided with an appetizing lunch and a strawberry ice cream. We then packed our luggage into the car and completely finished the CPI Heredia Campus.

We're off to our new adventures in the CPI Monteverde Campus!
